A Message From Federal Co-Chairman Pete Johnson
We need your help as we develop a multimodal strategic plan for the 240 counties and parishes in our region. When Congress passed the 2005 highway act, it required the Delta Regional Authority to prepare a report on the region's multimodal assets and needs along with a strategic plan for the region.
To date, the DRA multimodal transportation infrastructure assets have been identified and we thank you for your assistance during this process. Our next step is identifying multimodal transportation needs and your input is once again very important.
The aviation and freight rail links below will guide you through a survey that covers needs for these two transportation modes. During the month of March 2008, the consultant team, led by Wilbur Smith Associates, will be calling intelligent transportation systems providers, passenger rail providers, port authorities and state DOT’s to collect needs. By completing the on-line and phone survey, you will assist us in developing the best possible strategic plan to present to the president and Congress.
